Our team at Undisputed Steamers understands that you care about your home, and we want to help you keep it in the best possible condition. If your home has been affected by water damage, we are here to provide the water extraction services you need to prevent that damage from getting worse and get started with restoration. In this article, we’ll provide a brief overview of how this process works so that you have a better idea of what we’re doing.

How Water Extraction Works

The first step in water extraction is to remove any water that is still present. To do this, our team uses pumps that will suck up any pools of water and pump the liquid out of your home, either into the storm drains or into a tank.

After all the visible water has been removed, the next step is to thoroughly dry out the floors, walls, furniture, and anything else that has been affected. For this step, our team uses specialized dehumidifying and drying equipment to capture excess moisture in the air or water that has seeped into your home’s structure. Without this step, excessive moisture could linger in your walls, etc. and lead to mold growth, wood rot, and similar problems.

A third key step in water extraction is to remove any moisture from your carpets, which we do using a powerful liquid vacuum. Once all of that is done, we will double check everything to make sure that your home is in the best possible state for further restoration.
